Mesfin Industrial Engineering is a vast unrivalled metal engineering complex in Ethiopia and Eastern Africa. Its head quarter is located at some 780kms North from the capital city Addis Ababa, at Mekelle in Tigray region and its branch office located city Addis Ababa. The company is engaged in the production of metal equipment and components for energy, mining, construction, transport, agriculture and other related sectors. The complex is built on an area of 120,000m2 plot of land out of which 35,000m2 is covered by manufacturing, assembling, and other engineering works premises.
At present the covered area is occupied by premises comprising fabrication shop for dry & liquid cargo trailers, semi-trailers, low & high bed semi-trailers, rolling plant for petroleum storage tanks, Automotive truck assembly, stone crushing machines works, oxygen and acetylene production plants, machining engineering and quality control premises, management and other staff offices are part of the company holdings.
Mesfin Industrial Engineering is not only a well- equipped establishment, but also well-organized and staffed with highly educated, experienced, highly trained and skilled personnel as well.
All engineering works are carried out computer aided. The engineering and technical staffs guide manufacturing processes, assembling works and supervisors erection and installation works at out-of-plant sites. MIE traveled long distance in technological advancement in modernizing the plant and organize the work force. The company spends millions of dollars towards both locally and abroad. MIE, backed up with skilled manpower and modern of prefabricated petroleum storage tanks in its own plant.
Currently MIE is also carrying out wastewater treatment and solid waste treatment projects both for industrial and municipal purposes.
